So Marc and Angel Hack Life had a blog post recently that asked 365 "thought-provoking questions". I've picked some of the ones that stood out to me and hope to occasionally use them as writing prompts.
How would you describe yourself in one sentence?
I'm a book-loving, people-loving,laughter-desiring, optimistic mother who is periodically impatient or angry or too sure I'm right, but who tries, almost every day, to grow, to be less of a train-wreck, to be authentic, and to be accepting -- of life, of myself, and of others.
This was a tough one and I just made myself go with my (more or less) first thoughts. So maybe we'll call this one a work-in-progress or rough draft of my "one sentence".
What about you? Do you have one sentence that describes you.?
Let's discuss songs that tell a story, good books, and milkshake flavors, shall we?

It's 9:16 p.m.
I'm so thankful for the time I spent in my home state and for the people I was able to spend time with. I wasn't sure how it would feel to be back home in Colorado, but right now it feels right.
I left my fleece hat on the train -- I'd had it since the mid-90s. I hope that somebody finds it and uses it for another 15 years. I did a fair bit of reading while I was in Indiana but even more cross-stitching. I'm almost half done with the cross-stitch I'm making for my daughter. I keep thinking I'll post a picture.
I was able to visit my brother in prison twice. It was hard to leave him there, but good to be able to talk to him and hug him.
Blessings to you all on this fine Colorado evening.
