The Simple Woman's Daybook -- January 8, 2010

Hosted by Peggy.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window...  the last mild day for a while, I think...

I am thinking... that I have no idea where my cell phone is.

I am thankful for... how well my time with Jeremy went yesterday & for the hope that creates.

From the kitchen... grilled cheese, snow peas and lots of water to drink.

I am wearing... white and pink striped flannel pants from a clothes swap and a very old navy T-shirt from Case Western (where I've never been).

I am creating... a butterfly cross-stitch for my daughter.

I am going... to need to stay home from the clothes swap tomorrow -- puking daughter.

I am reading...100 Cupboards  by N.D. Wilson -- my daughter and I are reading this together and a day being sick in bed is pushing us steadily toward the end!

I am hoping... to avoid getting sick, but we'll see if I can succeed in that endeavor...

I am hearing... occasional quiet coughing from the sleeping six-year-old at my side and what I think is the furnace.

Around the house... a fair bit of vomiting and a backpack to unpack from our trip to Indiana.

One of my favorite things...watching my daughter be a kind and supportive friend.

A few plans for the rest of the week: getting everyone in the house well, divorce mediation with my husband on Friday morning, and hopefully at least one of the activities at my daughter's school (PTA and Winter Ball), if not both.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...(add your picture here)

And I see you are from Colorado. Me too! Snow, snow, snow, and then more sonw :). Hope you start feeling better. Will come back to read more.

    Peace,
