and all is well.  I'm home, I'm safe, I have clean clothes on a clean body, Nico the cat is at my side and I'm ready for bed.  I slept more on this train trip than ever before -- making up for all the nights I couldn't sleep while in Indiana, I guess.  Tomorrow I'll take care of Mark and Lilly in the morning and Fiona will be home after school.

I'm so thankful for the time I spent in my home state and for the people I was able to spend time with.  I wasn't sure how it would feel to be back home in Colorado, but right now it feels right.

I left my fleece hat on the train -- I'd had it since the mid-90s.  I hope that somebody finds it and uses it for another 15 years.  I did a fair bit of reading while I was in Indiana but even more cross-stitching.  I'm almost half done with the cross-stitch I'm making for my daughter.  I keep thinking I'll post a picture.

I was able to visit my brother in prison twice.  It was hard to leave him there, but good to be able to talk to him and hug him.

Blessings to you all on this fine Colorado evening.

  2. Thanks, friend. I'm trying to settle back in and sort out my life -- simple, right? :)
