The Simple Woman's Daybook -- September 20, 2010

FOR TODAY

Outside my window... another very warm day -- nobody has told Colorado that it's fall.

I am thinking... that one should strive to remember the compassion one has received more often than the malice.

I am thankful for... a shower and clean clothes.

From the learning rooms... lots and lots of financial figuring out.

From the kitchen...  zippy ground beef & brown rice, ice tea, smoothies, and roasted beets.

I am wearing... a lavender tank top with a grey cotton skirt (that I'm pretty sure is a maternity skirt) -- both hand-me-downs.

I am creating...  a game plan.  Yes, still.

I am going... to the library today.

I am reading... a bit more slowly these days.

I am hoping... for understanding.

I am hearing... footfalls from tiny feet, Beth talking on the phone to her mom, and a cover of Beat It by Pomplamoose (on Stereomood's cleaning playlist.

Around the house... clean laundry and sheets.

One of my favorite things... friends who stand by you.

A few plans for the rest of the week:  meet with my pastor, have book club (we read Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins), celebrate my daughter's half-birthday, and continue to figure out next steps

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...

This picture is from The Extent of Silence's Etsy shop.  She has some amazing drawings and you all should go check her out!
