Well, this year I've not gotten any pledges for quantity -- hours, minutes, pages read. (My mom did pledge $30 for me to read a Waylon Jennings biography, but that will be after the read-a-thon is over, since I couldn't get it from the library in time.)
Because of that, I'm allowing myself to be more laidback than I have been in the past. I just woke up, an hour after the official start time. I'm going to get some granola and yogurt and start reading The Beginning of After by Jennifer Castle, a YA book that's been making the rounds on the book blogs I frequent. We'll see how the rest of the day goes. I'll probably need to go over to work for at least a short time, but I'm looking forward to still reading a ton.
