The Simple Woman's Daybook -- Sunday, June 5, 2011

 Hosted by Peggy.

FOR TODAY

Outside my window... Bailey, Colorado; I can see the mountains through the pine trees.

I am thinking... about water under the bridge and the fields downstream that benefit from it.

I am thankful for... Brie & public transportation.

From the learning rooms... needing to re-familiarize myself with Reggio Emilia-based learning/teaching for an interview tomorrow afternoon -- I love the philosophy but it's been a while since I've worked with it or studied it.

From the kitchen... all kinds of lovely meals and snacks from the woman who owns the retreat center where we are scrap-booking.

I am wearing... a long sleeve dark pink shirt with grey knit cotton capris.  When everyone else (the fellow scrap-bookers who are sharing a room with me) wakes up I'll get some less pajama-type clothes on...

I am creating... scrapbook pages with pictures from August & September of 2004 --- was really wanting to finish the whole year this weekend, not sure I'm gonna make it.

I am going... to have a different name at the end of this week.  I think.

I am reading... The Sherlockian by Graham Moore -- very fun.

I am hoping... to see Eli Pariser at the Tattered Cover next week.

I am hearing... Land's End by Tim O'Brien, playing on my Pandora station -- lovely Irish music

Around the house... lots of organizing to do before I move out...

One of my favorite things... the original Father of the Bride movie (with Spencer Tracy & Elizabeth Taylor) -- I love hearing Tracy's internal monologue.

A few plans for the rest of the week: Interview tomorrow, sending pictures to my (almost former) in-laws, hanging with Mark and Lilly and Fiona while Amy works, final orders for our divorce on Wednesday afternoon, seeing dear friends who are visiting from South Africa, Expo Washable Dry Erase Marker house party on Saturday!

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Halloween 2006? 7?  I dressed as abstract art.  :)

  1. That is the coolest Halloween costume I've ever seen, and I plan to steal it as promptly as I can.

  3. You are the second Woman's Daybook writer I've met from Colorado today...and that's is pretty neat! Oh gosh, I adore the Tattered Cover. Do you go there often? Sounds like you are in a transitioning phase of life at moment. I wish you well. And by the way, you have a wicked nice smile.

  4. Cool, Taylor! I do indeed adore Tattered Cover. Thank you so much for your compliment on my smile -- I've been trying to remember to smile all the time -- cause it sinks in to the rest of your body, you know? :)

Definitely a time of transition -- moving further north tomorrow, divorce very recently finalized, job interview on Tuesday, whew.
