~Willa Cather, Death Comes for the Archbishop
Somehow this rings of prosperity theology to me -- if you just love enough, miracles will happen. But does it follow, then, that if miracles aren't happening in my life then I'm not loving enough? (With the understanding that you can find miracles (blessings, good things, silver linings) anywhere if you look hard enough... Maybe when I'm saying "miracles" what I mean is "solutions" or "smoother sailing"?)
