FOR TODAY

Outside my window... a lovely cool early evening in Denver.

I am thinking... about trying to do something brave

I am thankful for... my husband making breakfast and my friend Kate buying treats at the Tattered Cover (In my opinion, food is always an excellent thing to be thankful for!)

From the learning rooms...  becoming more experienced in various blog skills!

From the kitchen... soaking chickpeas to cook and freeze for next week's stone soup while camping

I am wearing...my husband's pajama pants which may or may not be clean -- I was too cold to care!

I am reading...The Great Awakening: Reviving Faith and Politics in a Post-Religious Right America by Jim Wallis

I am hoping...to have a good doctor's appointment in the morning.

I am hearing... Stay (I Missed You) by Lisa Loeb playing on Pandora

Around the house...lots of extra space while house-sitting -- good stuff.

One of my favorite things...being with friends who hug me hello and goodbye.

A few plans for the rest of the week: seeing my friend Beth from Indiana, walking Rosie, going to the Tattered Cover at least once more, if not twice, maybe berry picking, and leaving Friday for camping at Rocky Mountain National Park -- our first time there!

Here is a picture for thought I am sharing....

Our daughter as a "portrait" for Halloween a few years ago....
