"Somewhere quieter."
He walked quickly, not turning to see if she followed.  He couldn't wait any longer for Keiro.

From Incarceron by Catherine Fisher --  published several years ago in the UK, but just this year in the US.  YA.  I'm on page 41, still deciding what I think of it.

  1. Happy Friday to you as well!

I have had my eye on Incarceron as well, honestly just because of the cover and because I haven't read any steampunk yet.

My Friday 56 is up as well here...

  4. "Four toes on the front foot (small fifth nubbin may show in very clear track) and five on hind foot." Scats and Tracks of the Rocky Mountains by James C. Halfpenny, Ph.D We bought this book last weekend for our weekend adventures. This is the track description of a Muskrat. We haven't had chance to use the book in the field--but it looks very informative.

  5. SVZ, I ended up liking it a fair bit -- funny that you mentioned steampunk, as I only recently learned what that is, while reading Leviathan. I liked this one more that Leviathan. I'm not sure I would place it in the steampunk genre, but as I say, I'm still learning about it. :)

Sherrie, I've never read Martha Grimes, though I've always thought about it -- Do you recommend her?

Vicki, your grilled pizza sounds delicious!

Cathy, that's really cool -- tell me more about your weekend adventures. I'm so jealous of those who got to hang out with you all day on Friday!
